While I doubt ANY movie can do the horrors of slavery in the antebellum American South true justice, this movie comes the closest to it that I've ever seen. DON'T bring your children. My new obsession with BBC Sherlock / Benedict Cumberbatch and my longstanding history as a Trekker ( note the "-er" ), not to mention my unexpected pleasure in the previous installment helped drive me into the theater tonight.
